ADIDAS HQ AMSTERDAMWhen Adidas brought in a team of architects and interior designers to reimagine their Amsterdam headquarters, I came on board to create the graphic layer. The concept came out of deep archival research – hours spent trawling Adidas' digital archives of campaign imagery, footwear and apparel – and landed on the idea of organising the building by historical era. Each floor was assigned a decade – ascending from the Ground floor up to aid navigation – with graphics pulled from that period applied collage-style across walls and freestanding structures throughout the space. A secondary strand of work produced privacy screens for the glazed meeting rooms, their geometric patterns drawn from the linework of sports fields – basketball courts, tennis courts – turned into something quietly striking.
