HUMANICS COLLECTIVE

Humanics Collective — formerly ID Lab — works at the intersection of human behaviour and the built environment, helping clients create spaces that function better for the people inside them. The rebrand marked a significant shift in the company's offering, moving beyond signage and wayfinding to a broader practice encompassing experience design, environmental psychology, evaluation, testing and research. The new identity needed to communicate precision and empathy in equal measure, signalling to potential clients and collaborators that a partnership here leads to better outcomes for people — and for their business. The concept draws on the visual language of heat mapping: fluid, cloud-like forms that sit behind the wordmark and move as if tracing the movement of people through a space. The result is an identity that holds together across a website built around the same values: functional and informative, first and foremost.
